What is Reflexology?

Reflexology is a science that deals with the principle that there are areas in the feet and hands that correspond to all the parts, organs and glands of the body. It increases circulation, stimulates nerve impulses and brings about balance throughout the body and mind. It is a deeply relaxing experience which can help manage the effects of stress and tension as well as other issues.

During the session you will lying down, propped up with cushions and blankets to your utmost comfort. The treatment begins with some short, calming breaths to ease the body and mind in to a state of rest. An organic and natural balm is applied to the feet which are worked all over using acupressure and massage techniques.

What do I need to bring to the session?

Just yourself! Please wear comfortable clothing and bring layers as the body cools down during the treatment. Water is provided, but please feel free to bring any other drinks and snacks you might want for after the treatment. Some people experience a dip in blood sugar as the body relaxes, so if you know you have low blood pressure or are susceptible to dips, then bring a light snack for afterwards.

If coming for facial reflexology, the face will be cleansed thoroughly before treatment, so bring any makeup/spf you might want to use after.

How do I choose between foot or facial reflexology?

Tough choice as both are incredible treatments! It is completely personal preference.

Foot reflexology is great as it irons out tension in the feet and boosts circulation where it can become stagnant through gravity and tight footwear. A lower leg massage is also given.

Facial reflexology is deeply relaxing and offers a cross-over between holistic and beauty therapy as a natural facial muscle lift massage boosts the complexion whilst offering all the benefits of working on areas of the face which correspond to the rest of the body. Organic rosehip oil is used for an extra glow and a short Indian head massage is also included.

You can also have both in a 2-hour session - the ultimate reflexology treat!

How do I pay for my treatment?

I do not have a card machine, Cash or bank transfer are both fine - whichever is easiest for you.
